NEWS CENTRE - PYD Co-Presidency Executive Committee Member Aldar Xelîl stated that a new era should start in Syria and the Autonomous Administration is ready for dialogue with the parties, but noted that Turkey's intervention has deepened the crises.

Democratic Union Party (PYD) Co-Presidency Executive Committee Member Aldar Xelîl made evaluations to Fırat News Agency (ANF) regarding the latest developments in Syria and Rojava. Xelîl stated that the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is ready for a solution with its entire system and society and said: "The Autonomous Administration is ready for dialogue with everyone and is solution-oriented."

'THERE IS A THREAT OF CIVIL WAR BETWEEN GROUPS'

Aldar Xelîl reminded that the 61-year Baath regime has come to an end. Asked how Turkey and affiliated groups will approach a new Syria, Aldar Xelîl said that a democratic Syria that includes all peoples should be built in Syria.

"We have said that if a revolution is to develop, this rigid mentality must change and the way Syria is governed must change. The attacks on Syria that toppled the Assad regime were carried out by different groups. These groups also have problems and contradictions among themselves. In the first step, their common goal was to come together and overthrow the government of Damascus, but each group has different plans. There is a danger of a civil war between these groups in Syria," Aldar Xelîl said.

'THE CRISIS WILL NOT BE SOLVED AS LONG AS TURKEY IS PRESENT'

Aldar Xelîl stated that the Syrian crisis has not been resolved for years due to Turkey's attacks and said: "The intervention of the Turkish state in Syria has not ended. For example, we have suffered greatly at the hands of the Baath Party and its government. The Syrian peoples, especially the Kurdish people, were subjected to a policy of extermination and suppression for 61 years and 9 months. This is a great pain. When we saw that we were liberated from this regime, we experienced joy. Undoubtedly, we want to live a peaceful and calm life in the new future of Syria. But the intervention of the Turkish state in Syria revives the dangers. Just as the Syrian state has pursued a policy of extermination and suppression, the Turkish state is no less than it, and the policy pursued by the Turkish state is even more extreme. The Turkish state does not even recognise the physical existence of the Kurdish people. At least the Baathist regime did not ignore the existence of the people except in dungeons and special cases. They are (Turkey) not in favour of the establishment of a democratic Syria and have no such intention. In fact, no name or system has been determined for Syria so far."

'IF IT IS IN FAVOUR OF A DEMOCRATIC SYRIA, IT MUST NOT ATTACK'

Aldar Xelîl reminded Turkey's attacks on Manbij, "Instead of taking steps to discuss the future of Syria, Turkey launched attacks on North and East Syria. Currently, there are intense attacks against Manbij and all its borders. These attacks are taking place in line with the instructions of the Turkish state. If they want to build a democratic Syria, they cannot attack Manbij and all areas of North and East Syria. On the contrary, if they wanted a democratic Syria, they should have entered into dialogue with the Autonomous Administration. They should have endeavoured to discuss how Syria can be governed. Not with attacks. Syria has a new process ahead of it. What is important in this new process is to take the will of all Syrian peoples as a basis and to immediately end the attacks against the Autonomous Administration areas."

DEMOCRATIC NATION PROJECT

Reminding that the Autonomous Administration's project since its declaration in 2014 has been the Democratic Nation project, Aldar Xelîl said that with this project, Syrian peoples can be integrated.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is essentially an example for all of Syria. It is an example of a democratic Syria. Unfortunately, since the other parties are under the influence of the Turkish state, they act according to the perspectives of the Turkish state. The current attacks on Manbij are being carried out with the support of warplanes belonging to the Turkish state."

Stating that the peoples of Syria have the right to self-determination, Aldar Xelîl said: "It insists on developing the Autonomous Administration project, and it is promoting this project regardless of Durzi, Alawite, Sunni sect; Arab, Kurdish, Turkmen, Circassian, Armenian, Assyrian people. Those who do not see this talk about the oppression of the Baath regime, but do not see the Turkish state, which is even more oppressive than the Baath regime. If the Syrian internal crisis is being talked about, then we say that the Turkish state should not intervene in Syria's internal affairs, and the Syrian peoples should solve their problems on their own."

Noting that there are intense attacks against Manbij, Aldar Xelîl stated that there are heavy and intense attacks against Minbic and its surroundings. "It is not enough to watch and follow these attacks, it is necessary to take part in the ranks of resistance. The aim of the Turkish state is to destroy. For this reason, the peoples must show resistance against the attacks as one on one front, one in the position," he said.

'DÊRAZOR UNDER ISIS THREAT'

Stating that Dêrazor is under ISIS threat, "This region is still protected after the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) put an end to ISIS in Baxoz in Dêrazor. Since then, this region has been under the control of the QSD and the Dêrazor Military Council. When these groups turned towards Hama, ISIS also turned towards Dêrazor. If the attacks against Dêrazor had not been under control, other areas of the Autonomous Administration would have been in danger. In this context, the Dêrazor Military Council and even the people of Dêrazor filled this gap in order to prevent the gap from being created by ISIS attacks. We should know that as long as this policy of the Turkish state and ISIS exist, threats will continue. Dêrazor is also in preparation. There are occasional attacks in some places, but these attacks are broken with a strong defence," Aldar Xelîl said.

'AUTONOMOUS ADMINISTRATION IS READY FOR A SOLUTION

Aldar Xelîl stated that they are still making evaluations due to the new developments in Syria and said that dialogue is a must for determining the future of Syria. Stating that the Autonomous Administration is ready for a solution, Aldar Xelîl continued as follows: "With the declarations made in 2011 and 2014, it has been emphasising until today that its project is a project of unity and solidarity for Syria. If you pay attention, an umbrella assembly, the Syrian Democratic Assembly (MSD) was announced in 2015. The MSD is an umbrella to bring together all opposition forces in Syria. The MSD can now play its role in bringing together the opposition forces in Syria. The QSD can also be the military force of a democratic Syria. The Democratic Nation project can also be the project of the future of the new Syria. The Autonomous Administration is ready for a solution with its entire system and society. The Autonomous Administration is ready for dialogue with everyone and is solution-oriented. In these historic days, the peoples must protect their gains, watered with the blood of martyrs and obtained with the labour of the people. If we can protect today, it will mean protecting our last 14 years. If there is a moment of relaxation, we are likely to face negative situations. Peoples should be in resistance and protect their gains without hesitation."
