'We will walk to freedom with Newroz'

AMED - Amed Labor and Democracy Platform components called on everyone to gather around the Newroz fire tomorrow "to walk to freedom with the motto 'Dem dema azadî û serkeftinê ye'".
 
On March 21, all eyes will be on Amed once again. All preparations for Newroz, which will be celebrated tomorrow in the city, have been completed. Excitement is gradually growing as there are hours left for the celebration to be held in Newroz Park with the motto "Rabe dema azadî û sekeftinê ye (Stand up, time is for Freedom an success)".
 
Amed Labor and Democracy Platform components called for participation in the historical Amed Newroz.
 
Education and Science Workers' Union (Eğitim-Sen) Branch No. 2 Co-Chair Irfan Deniz underlined that the Kurds will embrace Newroz this year, as every year. Emphasizing that Newroz is the fire of freedom lit by Blacksmith Kawa against Dehak, Deniz said: “We expect our people to participate in Newroz with their colorful clothes, chanting and enthusiasm. Happy Newroz to the people in the four parts of Kurdistan."
 
'PEACE AGAINST WAR' MESSAGE
 
Describing Newroz as "the holiday of all oppressed peoples", DISK/Genel-Iş Amed No. 2 Branch Co-Chair Becet Barut also stated that the message of "peace against war" will be given on Newroz.
Barut said: “There has been a policy of war against the Kurds and the people of the world for a hundred years. Newroz is a rebellion against the war waged on the oppressed peoples of the world. As Amed Labor and Democracy Platform, we have the slogan 'War kills, peace gives life'. We will shout for peace with the people of Amed on Newroz." 
 
'NEWROZ FOR FREEDOM'
 
Stating that Newroz to be celebrated this year will be the "Newroz of Freedom" of the Kurds, Genel-Iş No. 1 Branch Secretary Ayşe Güler said: "We hope that this Newroz will bring peace and freedom to all peoples. No people can be free until the Kurds are free. We call on all peoples to participate in this Newroz en masse with great enthusiasm."
 
Tum Bel-Sen Amed Branch Co-Chair Cagla Sanay also made the following call: “Let's color the Newroz area with our zılgıt songs and local clothes. We will walk to freedom on Newroz with our motto 'Dema azadî û serkeftinê ye'. Let's all peoples be together in this march. This is my call to all peoples, let's all shout our slogans of peace and freedom on March 21, Newroz in Amed."
