Second racist attack on Kurdish Family: 7 people murdered

ANKARA - Kurdish family who had been attacked before, has been attacked again. 7 people 4 of whom are women, are killed in the attack.

A Kurdish family was attacked in the Meram district of Konya. Dedeoğlu family who was subjected to a racist attack on May 12 by around 60 people was attacked again. 7 people 4 of whom are women, are killed in the attack. After the attack in which Yaşar Dedeoğulları (65), Serap Dedeoğulları (36), Serpil Dedeoğulları (32), Sibel Dedeoğulları (30) , İpek Dedeoğulları, Metin Dedeoğulları (45) and Barış Dedeoğulları’nın (35) was killed, the attackers burned down the house.
 
BACKGROUND
 
A family living in the Meram district of Konya was attacked by at least 60 people on May 12. The family who's originally from Kars was attacked by a crowd declaring they are nationalists. The crowd attacked the family with stones and sticks saying, "We are greywolves, we won't let you live here". 5 people detained after the incident was released on 'lack of evidence'. 
 
The house was set on fire after the attack.
