GÜVEN: I STARTED THIS HUNGER STRIKE SO THAT YOU WOULD NOT DIE

 

While the hunger strike Güven have initiated spreaded to all prisos, Zülküf Gezen in Tekirdağ No 2 Type F Prison ended his life to protest the isolation. Leyla Güven tweeted about Zülküf Gezen and said: "Zülküf! My dear friend, I started this hunger strike so that you would not die, but what you have done have punched a hole in my heart. This should not have been the way for you to come to Amed. We would climb up the fortification walls together and what have you done! I know that you did this to keep us alive. #ZülküfGezen"

 

The hunger strike of  HDP represantative Nasır Yağız in Federal Kurdistan District is on its 118th day, the hunger strikes of the politicians and journalists in Strasburg and imam Şiş from Galler is on their 92nd day while the hunger strike of the first group of the political prisoners are on their 93rd day. Meanwhile, on March 1, all of the PKK PJAK prisoners in all of the prisons in Turkey joined the hunger strikes.

 

HUNGER STRIKE OF THE DEPUTIES CONTINUES

 

On  march 8, HDP Van Deputies Tayip Temel and Murat Sarısaç, and HDP members Abdulhalik Kurt and Yusuf Ataş joined the hunger strike HDP Diyarbakır Deputy Dersim Dağ and HDP members Salih Cansever, İsmet Yıldız, Sevican Yaşar, Salih Tekin and Bilal Özgezer have started on March 3. 

 

Meanwhile, the released prisoners on hunger strike, Sedat Akın and Gurbet Ektiren are continuing their hunger strikes at home, like Leyla Güven.
