The clashed between the local forces and the groups affiliated to the Transitional Government have been going on for days in Suwayda, where the Druze are predominantly living in Syria. Minister of Defence of the Syrian Transitional Government Merhef Abu Kasra announced that a ceasefire was declared in the city.

 

In a post on his X virtual media account, Abu Kasra claimed that "it was decided to declare a ceasefire in line with the agreement reached with the opinion leaders and notables in the city".
