AMED - DEM Party Youth Assembly will organise a march from Amed to Amara between 1-4 April with the slogan "We march to freedom with democratic society".

Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party Youth Assembly made a statement regarding the march from Amed (Diyarbakır) to Amara neighbourhood of Xelfeti (Halfeti) district of Riha (Urfa) on 1-4 April with the slogan "We march to freedom with democratic society". DEM Party MPs Ceylan Akça and Beritan Güneş also attended the statement made at the DEM Party Amed Provincial Organisation building.

The text was read in Kurdish by DEM Party Youth Assembly Women Coordination member Lorin Aryen Turgut and in Turkish by DEM Party Youth Assembly member Mustafa Yaşodun. The text reads: "Peoples' Leader Abdullah Ocalan's 'Call for Peace and Democratic Society' on 27 February, which shattered the dark isolation regime that has been trying to be maintained for 43 months, has given hope to all oppressed peoples and societies, especially the peoples of Kurdistan and Turkey, and started a new period of resistance.

On the road to a new life with dignity, we, as the youth, the pioneering and resisting power of society, will take part in this call with our strongest ideological and action line. We call on all our patriotic people and young comrades to embrace the Call for Peace and Democratic Society and to march with the slogan 'We march to Freedom with Democratic Society'. Let's march together from Amed to Amara on 1 April, let's be the pioneers of an honourable life."
