Protesting teachers and employees in Sulaymaniyah announced that they would continue their protests due to the Kurdistan Regional Government’s failure to respond to their demands. Teachers and employees confirmed their continued boycott.

 

Najmaddin Mohammed said, "Due to the failure of Kurdistan Regional Government officials to respond to our demands, we have decided not to end the strike and to continue our civil protest. We do not want our fate to be in the hands of an irresponsible authority; we demand that our salaries be paid by the federal government."
