PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and other prisoners Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş are being held in isolation in Imrali Type F High Security Closed Prison and have not been heard from for 39 months. Their lawyers, families and guardians applied to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Imrali Penitentiary Institution Directorate for a meeting covering the dates 17-21 June on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
An application was made by lawyers Rezan Sarıca, Raziye Öztürk, Faik Özgür Erol and Mazlum Dinç from Asrın Law Firm, requesting a lawyer meeting. Abdullah Öcalan's brother Mehmet Öcalan and his guardian Mazlum Dinç, Ömer Hayri Konar's brother Ali Konar, Hamili Yıldırım's brother Polat Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş's sister Melihe Çetin also applied to the prosecutor's office and prison directorate through their lawyers to meet with the family. .
