18 people detained in Urfa

URFA - 18 people, including HDP and DBP executives, were detained in Pirsûs(Suruç) district.
18 people, including Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) district co-chairs, were detained in house raids in Riha(Urfa)'s Pirsûs (Suruç) district in the morning. While no information was given about the reason for the detention, the lawyers were restricted from seeing the 18 people who were taken to the Urfa Police Department for 24 hours.
The names of those detained on the allegations of "being a member of a terrorist organization", "providing finance to the organization" and "fraud at the expense of public institutions" carried out by the Suruç Chief Public Prosecutor's Office are as follows: Former District Municipality Co-Mayor Hülya Demir, HDP District Co-Mayor Yaşar Gündüzalp, DBP District Co-Mayor Rojda Binici and Mehmet Akif Yıldız, Zeki Bali, Asiye Fırat, Maide Kurttekin, Nermin Çakır, Osman Akgün, Sabri Kaya, Bülent Koçyiğit, Feryal Çelikbaş, Salih Kaplan, Ergün Akaslan, Bülent Koçyiğit, Avni Gökkan, İsmet Bali and Mustafa Bali were detained.
