While nearly 4,000 people have lost their lives in earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 affecting 10 provinces centered in Maraş, there are still thousands of people under the rubble in Maraş, Gaziantep, Malatya, Adıyaman, Urfa, Diyarbakır, Harput, Osmaniye, Adana and Hatay. It was reported that the rescue teams were insufficient and even no search and rescue work was carried out in some districts.
