NEWS CENTER - Examining the attacks against Bradost and Balekayeti on the spot, Federated Kurdistan Region Parliamentarian Lokman Werdi said: "The Iraqi and regional government should take steps to stop the Turkish attacks."

Federal Kurdistan Region PUK Parliamentarian Lokman Werdi evaluated Turkey's attacks. Speaking to Rojnews, Lokman Werdi stated that Iraq and the regional government remained silent to the attacks of Turkey and Iran.

Referring to the Kurdistan Region Parliament Committee's visit to Bradost and Balekayeti regions, Lokman Werdi said: “During the visits, it was revealed that the citizens suffered greatly due to the bombings of Turkey and Iran. However, these harassments have not been prevented and no compensation has been paid to the citizens. The Turkish state cannot solve the Kurdish people's problem by destroying and bombing villages. Kurdish studies in Northern Kurdistan and Rojava are developing day by day. Therefore, the Turkish state should recognize the rights of the Kurdish people through negotiations and dialogue. Only in this way can it ensure peace in its country.”

REPORT WAS SUPPLIED TO PARLIAMENT

Lokman Werdi continued his words as follows; “The damage caused by the Turkish state's attack and bombardment in the region cannot be calculated because quite a lot. The governments of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, which are responsible for the security of the citizens, still have not taken any serious steps on the issue. After visiting the Bradost and Balekayeti regions, we presented our report to the Speaker of the Parliament. Our attempts to hold a special session on the attacks continue because these attacks are a violation of the sovereignty of the Region and Iraq. It is a violation of the universal declaration of human rights.”

IRAQ GOVERNMENT SHOULD STOP ATTACKS

Lokman Werdi, finally, said: “It is not enough for the Kurdistan Region government to just make a statement to stop the attacks. The task of the Iraqi government is to stop the attacks because the lands of the Kurdistan Region are invaded by the Turkish state.”
