ANTALYA - Prisoners on a hunger strike in Döşemealtı High Security Prison continue to be kept in the hospital where they were taken.
At Antalya Döşemealtı High Security Prison, Tahsin Sağaltıcı and Gürkan Türkoğlu have been on a hunger strike for 263 days, and Hüseyin Özen for 243 days, in protest of being transferred to a prison that is not a “well-type” facility.
The prisoners were taken to Antalya City Hospital on April 13 as their health conditions worsened. While the prisoners continue to be held in the hospital, families’ requests to be accompanying them have not yet been answered.
