NEWS CENTER - NADA described the war in Gaza and Sudan as "genocide" and called for an end to it.

The Regional Coalition of Democratic Women in the Middle East and North Africa (NADA) made a written statement on the wars in Gaza and Sudan.

According to Hawar News Agency (ANHA) the statement reads as follows:

“Palestine: Systematic genocide and humiliatingly conditional humanitarian aid

Since October 7, 2023, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to a documented genocide, supported by the international imperialist coalition and Arab silence. The death toll has surpassed 54,000, including tens of thousands of women and children, with over 123,000 injured, and tens of thousands missing amid siege and starvation.

The silence and complicity of the international community in the face of massacres has provided direct cover for the expansion of the Zionist entity’s crimes. These have not been limited to bombing and displacement, but have also included the deliberate prevention of humanitarian aid from entering, used as another method of extermination.

We strongly reject the “security mechanism” imposed on the delivery of aid, which violates all international laws, including treaties that guarantee the neutrality of humanitarian assistance during armed conflicts. This mechanism is governed by unjust political and security considerations and institutionalizes collective humiliation instead of protection.

In the name of the NADA Alliance, we join the Palestinian, regional, and international voices calling for the removal of relief operations from the control of the occupation and their transfer to a neutral and just UN mechanism that ensures aid reaches those in need directly, without political or military intermediaries.

Sudan: Two years of war and an epidemic devouring what remains of life

Since April 15, 2023, Sudan has been engulfed in a full-scale war fueled by regional and international powers seeking to divide spheres of influence and plunder at the expense of the Sudanese people. Over 150,000 have been killed, and 12 million have been displaced or turned into refugees within and outside the country. Cities and neighborhoods have been emptied of life and turned into cemeteries. Today, cholera is spreading alarmingly amid the complete collapse of the health system.

We at the NADA Alliance reject the promotion of return for the displaced while the epidemic continues to pose a threat and basic services remain unavailable. We emphasize that the targeting of Sudan is no accident, but part of a systematic project aimed at complete control over Sudan's resources at the expense of its people.

In general, we do not view what is happening as “two separate crises.” In both cases, we are witnessing genocide, the obstruction of humanitarian aid, and the use of forced displacement as tools of oppression under a unified project to redraw the Middle East. Women are the primary victims. The perpetrator is the same: a coalition of imperialist, neoliberal, and local reactionary forces.

We in the NADA Alliance place fully responsibility on:

*The Zionist entity, as the perpetrator of genocide, and the United States and imperialist countries for their role in financing the aggression and shielding the perpetrators.

* Reactionary Arab regimes, for providing political and economic cover for the ongoing extermination of the Palestinian and Sudanese peoples, and for diluting the regional response.

* The warring parties in Sudan, for turning the country into an open battlefield and legitimizing total collapse.

* The UN system and international institutions, for replacing their moral and legal responsibilities with statements of “concern and calls for restraint,” effectively becoming partners in the crime.

Accordingly, the NADA Alliance demands:

* The immediate cessation of war and genocide in Gaza, the lifting of the siege, and the delivery of humanitarian aid without conditions or intermediaries through a neutral and fair UN mechanism.

* The permanent opening of all border crossings and the guaranteed flow of fuel, medicine, and clean water.

*The declaration of Sudan as a zone of health and humanitarian disaster and the opening of urgent medical corridors.

* The immediate ceasefire in Sudan, and assurance that aid is not used as a political bargaining chip or weapon of negotiation.

* The rejection of displaced persons’ return until the cholera epidemic is fully eradicated and basic services are guaranteed.

* Independent international investigations into all crimes and violations committed in Palestine and Sudan.

* A halt to arms exports to all parties involved in genocide and the imposition of real sanctions on the states and companies financing the wars.

We conclude our statement by emphasizing that every delay in stopping the massacres is complicity in genocide. The suffering of women is a front line of resistance and confrontation, not a marginal issue."
