This is the condition for moving forward with a peace plan. The PKK's decision is unilateral and, for this reason too, has great value, not only symbolic, in demonstrating the desireto establish the conditions for peace. It is a signal to other conflicts that the desire for peace must be accompanied by reasonableness and foresight to prevail. It is also an essential recognition that the path to peace coincides with that of democracy.”   WHO IS NADIA URBINATI   Nadia Urbinati is an Italian political scientist and academic born in 1961.
