TJA kicks off 25 November 2025-11-09 16:54:37   NEWS CENTER - TJA has kicked off its 25 November actions and events. In statements made, it was emphasised that “We will be in the fields, streets, and every area of life until we establish an equal, free, and peaceful life.”    The Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) has launched its actions and events under the slogan “A democratic society with a violence-free, free life” as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November.    Statements were made following marches held in the cities of Êlih (Batman), Mêrdîn (Mardin), Riha (Urfa), Mersin, Agirî (Ağrı) and Amed (Diyarbakır) under the slogan “Jin, jiyan, azadî (Woman, life, freedom)”. The statements highlighted that women have been subjected to violence, confined to their homes and murdered for thousands of years, emphasising that the process that began with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan's “Call for Peace and a Democratic Society” on 27 February is inseparable from the struggle women have waged against the injustices they face.    The statements called on women to engage in organised struggle and emphasised the importance of women's struggle for democratisation.
