Always the same determination from the first action to the last action 2023-02-04 15:31:52   VAN - Those who lost their lives in the actions they carried out against the conspiracy against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan emphasized in the letters they left behind that they carried out their actions in order to nullify the conspiracy and end the isolation.   The international conspiracy against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, held in İmralı Type F High Security Prison, on July 15, 1999, is entering its 25th year. The anger against the conspiracy in the organization of many global powers has not subsided, even after 24 years. While dozens of people set their bodies on fire with the "You Can't Darken Our Sun" actions, similar actions have continued in recent years. The last link of the protests that started with the imprisoned Halit Oral in 1998 was the burning of the bodies of Bubo Taş and Mehmet Akar. Those who protested the conspiracy and isolation against Öcalan by setting his body on fire or taking his own life described the impact Öcalan had on them in the letters they left behind about their actions.   Here are some letters left behind by those who lost their lives:   FIRST ACTION   The letter of Mehmet Halit Oral, who set his body on fire in Maraş Prison, where he was detained on the night of October 9, when the conspiracy was started: "The attacks on you and our people are attacks on humanity. To be a response to these attacks from my side, not to betray our martyrs and you, to fulfill our duty, it will give me great honor. My anger, hatred and vengeance are great; however, I cannot display this against the enemy in the dungeon. I want to show my loyalty to you once again with this action. And I want to vomit my hatred, anger and hatred towards the enemy with this action. And again I want to take my revenge on them. I want to see you. I didn't have the honor of seeing you. But I always felt you in my heart. Your analysis was essential for me. Of course, my action will not make the Turkish Republic step back because if we're being talked about in this world today and they accept us anymore, it's totally yours. It is the result of your great effort and hard work. So no matter what we do for you, we cannot repay your holy labor and efforts for us."   MEHMET GÜL   Mehmet Gül, who set his body on fire in the prison in Manisa on 19 October 1998 and lost his life on October 27 in the hospital where he was taken, said: "In the person of you, they intend to persecute the Kurdish people again. The attack against you is an attack on humanity, peace, friendship and national liberation movements; therefore, I will take this action, I am protesting by burning myself to respond to the ceasefire and the conspiracy."   BÜLENT BAYRAM   Bülent Bayram, who set his body on fire in the prison in Adıyaman on October 21, 1998: "My anger towards the enemy has increased in the last days when the attack campaign against the Leader (Öcalan) has intensified. I was squirming in the thought of how to mobilize this anger against the enemy in the dungeon I was in. In the end, I decided that the biggest response would be with this action, and I started my preparations. All humanity should know that we do not have much to lose, but that there is a world to gain. My commitment and faith drive me to this action."   ALİ AYDIN   Ali Aydın, who lost his life by setting his body on fire in the prison in Bartın on October 21, 1998: "President! I would love to see you. But I see, there are those who do not allow me to see you. I will remove these obstacles for him. Just like comrades Sema, like Fikri, Murat Kaya, M. Halit Oral and Mehmet Gül, I will sacrifice myself. The thing I hated the most in life was the situation the Kurdish people got into when I was outside. I hate people who squander values by escaping from the party environment, and coming later to take advantage of its values. I am improving myself by looking at these. And my hatred for the enemy was growing. Long live President Apo.”   SELAMET MENTEŞ AND AYNUR ARTAN   Selamet Menteş and Aynur Artan, who lost their lives by setting their bodies on fire together in Midyat prison on October 23, 1998: "We are burning the traditional woman and male dominance within us with this action we will take. We could not get out of our own individual feelings and small worlds, but the values of President We see that the Leader attaches to women and women's liberation. The determination that the way to turn Jin(woman) into Jiyan(yaşam) is to make her willed, brings women closer to freedom every day. His doctrine has now completely eliminated the reality of gender and gender discrimination. This action is the name against oppression, resistance against destruction, existence against destruction, re-creation against consumption.   MİRZA SEVİMLİ   Mirza Sevimli, who set his body on fire in the prison in Erzirom on October 26, 1998: "Sir, you started this struggle alone. While the history of the Kurdish people was going down, you raise the Kurds alone. Today, the people have become conscious, and if the world were abolished, no power would be able to stand against the Kurds. In the past, you couldn't bring two Kurds side by side, but today, you have raised millions of people. The enemy is also very afraid of you. We owe you to the end. Today, if there was anything but my life I would have given it to you, but nothing. As long as you exist. The Kurdish people will not have their backs to the ground.”   EMRULLAH DAMLACI   Emrullah Damlacı (Seyîd Bayram), who set his body on fire in the Dêrîk district of Mardin on November 18, 1998: "The hands reaching out to the President will be broken. All I want is to continue this sacred resistance handed over to us by the staff and the people, no matter what aspect. "There is very little time left. Liberation depends on President Apo. It is necessary to protect the President with a ring of fire. I wish I had something but my life to give to President Apo, whom I love more than my life. President Apo is the sun, they cannot darken our sun."   SERPİL POLAT   Serpil Polat, Honorary Member of the Marxist-Leninist Armed Propaganda Union (MLSPB), who set his body on fire in Sakarya on February 17, 1999: "I condemn the attacks of imperialism, oligarchies, against the peoples in general and the Kurdish people in particular, in the person of revolutionary leader Abdullah Öcalan, revolutionary leader Abdullah Öcalan. I am completing the preparations to vomit the greatness of my anger on the enemy with the flame in my body. The revolutionary leaders cannot be put on trial. The PKK Chairperson should be released. The revolutionary will cannot be surrendered. I greet and embrace you with the warmth of fire and sun. Revolutions will triumph by being popularized. The role of revolutionary leaders is important and vital. Revolutionary leader Abdullah Öcalan will and should act with this awareness. In cases where the leaders are destroyed or shifted from their line, new leaders have been created and will be created. The march will continue by considering and evaluating life and war in their entirety."   FATOŞ SAĞLAMGÖZ   Rihalı Fatoş Sağlamgöz (Sema), who set her body on fire in Gustaf Adolf Square in Gothenburg, Sweden, on November 11, 2003: "I am the last member of a family of 9 children from the working class. My family is of Turkish origin. It is known by the world. What they are trying to imprison within four walls on an island is also the freedom of all Middle Eastern women. I am aware that you will not accept my course of action, but I believe that at some points it is necessary to be a bridge between peoples. If I could be one of the boards of that bridge, I would be happy. I will try to make a breach on my own front in the nationalist spirit of the people I belong to. At a point where fireballs and ashes mix, bodies can become fraternal."   SERDAR ARI   Serdar Arı, who set his body on fire in Izmir prison on October 23, 2005, said: "You have become a hope for the future not only for the Kurdish people, but for the peoples of the Middle East and humanity. You have become the new voice of the peoples with the Democratic Ecological Society Paradigm and Democratic Confederalism projects. Despite all your creations, you have become the new voice of the people. You are exposed to practices that you do not like. Your ties with the Kurdish people and the peoples are wanted to be severed. The people are wanted to be plunged into darkness again. The line of free life you represent has existed and reached humanity despite all kinds of obstacles. Of course, it was the international conspiratorial forces that feared and panicked the most from this situation. That's why today there is an attempt to implement an annihilation isolation in Imrali. All these practices show the deadlock of the international conspiratorial forces, as well as a confession of your greatness. Our people, the peoples, are being enslaved once again with the annihilation isolation imposed on you. But it is not possible for us to accept this and we will not accept it at any cost. I am taking this action to protest the extermination isolation imposed on you.”   VIYAN SORAN   Viyan Soran (Leyla Wali Hasan), who set her body on fire on February 1, 2006 in the Heftanîn region: "Since the day I heard your name and met you, I have felt life, I know who I am and how I should live. So your ideas introduced me to me and taught me to live meaningfully. I discovered the power of meaning, thought and human being. As a woman and a Kurd, freedom was my goal and I believed in this goal wholeheartedly. They want to frustrate the peace and democracy efforts of the Reber(leader) APO and the Kurdish people. I want to be a witness before the justice of history, like many other people, to send a message to the frozen hearts and minds of class society civilization with the fire of my body, to expose the falsehood and dishonesty of the Western Court of Human Rights."   EVRİM DEMİR   Evrim Demir, 18, who burned herself on the occasion of the anniversary of the death fast that started on July 14, 1982 in Diyarbakır Prison No. 5 in the Bulanık district of Muş on July 18, 2011: "I want to be the voice of peace. The Kurdish people do not care about borders, they do not care about the state. A society creates language, culture and history. Our culture will draw our borders, our history and language. They said that we are brothers and also they say 'You have no rights, there is no Kurdish question', we will defend and demand these rights with all our might. We want to exist and be accepted as a whole with the PKK movement. I am not a separatist nor a terrorist, I am a Kurd. I am a Kurd who grew up with the slogan of Azadi (freedom) and would die for it. A very dirty war is still being waged in Kurdistan. Those who sentenced the children of the Kurdish people to death, it is my wish for the peoples of Turkey that one day they too will die. Under the name of separatism, the Turkish people are frightened and an empire of fear is being built. I wholeheartedly greet all Kurdish people, the peoples of Turkey, Leader Apo, all of our esteemed guerrillas whose mothers and fathers have lost their children in the wars, and especially the people of Diyarbakır and Hakkari. I wish the day to be a day of peace and freedom for Leader Apo."   UĞUR ŞAKAR   Uğur Şakar, who shot his body against the isolation in Krefeld, Germany on February 20, 2019 and lost his life on March 22, said: "I have no doubt that I will put up the most glorious resistance to defend the existence of the Kurdish people against those who think they can destroy the Kurdish people with an international conspiracy. As a member of this society, I especially protest the European countries, which they call the so-called cradle of democracy. In front of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT), I protest the capitalist modernity that closes the eyes, ears and tongues of my comrades who are dying. I condemn the police violence of the German state and the political oppression of the Kurds. Rather than living in slavery I invite every Kurdish person to fight for the sake of living freely. We will definitely win."   AYTEN BEÇET   Ayten Beçet, who ended her life against the isolation in Gebze Women's Closed Prison on March 23, 2019: “I participated in this move with the promise I made to the leadership and with the awareness of it. I personally included all the Kurdish people, the people of Botan and the metropolis in this stronger and more conscious move. This is the first time I feel so free to take a step."   BUBO TAŞ   Bubo Taş, who set his body on fire in the Artuklu district of Mardin on January 13, 2023, said: "As Musa (Anter) said, I am both a witness and a defendant in this case. I have spent my life in this case, though not as much as he did. I will protest the isolation of Imrali. I have no purpose. I am sacrificing my life for the president of Kurdistan because I have spent my life in this cause. Do not be misunderstood. I have no grudge against anyone. I call on the Kurdish people. Hold on to each other. Nothing else helps us."   MEHMET AKAR   Mehmet Akar, 24, who set his body on fire in Sûr district of Diyarbakır on January 16, 2023: "Hello guys. I want to salute Comrade Bubo's action. Leader Apo has not been heard from. Neither his family nor his lawyers are allowed to meet. Applications are without any justification. We are now worried about Leader Apo's health. In return, I will set my body on fire in Diyarbakır goat sign at 21. May the light of the fire that ignites my body illuminate Imrali. I hope that this action will contribute to Leader Apo's physical freedom."   MA / Berivan Kutlu   Tomorrow: Konca: Women complete the project of Öcalan
