Sweden extradited Mahmut Tat to Turkey 2022-12-03 13:12:22   İSTANBUL - Mahmut Tat, who applied for asylum in Sweden, was extradited to Turkey.   Kurdish refugee Mahmut Tat, who was sentenced to 6 years and 10 months in prison for "being a member of the PKK" in Dersim in 2015 and sought asylum in Sweden, was extradited to Turkey. Tat was taken into custody by the police on November 22 in Sweden, where he was present, and was taken to Mölndal. Tat, who was detained here, was brought to Turkey on December 2.   Tat, who is being held at the Istanbul Airport Police Department, is expected to be referred to the courthouse during the day and arrested.
