Operation to arrest Yüksel, who died 5 years ago 2022-12-02 14:27:08   ISTANBUL - In Ankara-based house raids on Kurdish women, the police raided the house of YJA STAR member Türkan Yüksel, who died and was buried in 2017, and the police asked, "Where is Türkan?"   As part of the investigation carried out against the activists of Ankara-based Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA), 50 women were detained on November 29. So far, 18 women have been detained in house raids in Amed, Istanbul, İzmir, Muş, Ağrı, Gaziantep and Siirt. While a decision was made to restrict the files of women who were put on buses in handcuffs behind their backs from their cities and taken to Ankara, no clear information has yet been received about the reasons for the detention of women.   GUN HOLDED TO THEIR HEADS   According to the JINNEWS, during the house raids in 14 provinces, the family home of YJA STAR member Türkan Yüksel (Nûdem Nurhaq), who lost her life in the air attack in Şırnak in April 2017, was also raided in the Ataşehir district of Istanbul. In the raid carried out by the special operations police, Yüksel's older brother and his older brother's wife were laid on the ground and put guns to their heads.   POLICE: WHERE IS TÜRKAN?   After the police stormed the house, they asked the family, "Where is Türkan?". After it was stated that Türkan Yüksel died and that she was present in the records, the police continued the search and said: "There is no record of his death in the population." The police left the house after their search.   OFFICIAL PROCEDURES WERE IMPLEMENTED   Türkan Yüksel lost her life in the air attacks in the Kato Jirka area of Şırnak in 2017, and was laid to rest in the "Cemetery of the Nobody" in Şırnak. Yuksel's remains were laid to rest on September 30, 2018, in the village of Qentarme in the Elbistan district of Mereş, after his family's application to the prosecutor's office and after the DNA test was concluded. All official procedures were applied during the funeral process and burial. Although it is in the official records that she died, Yüksel's house was raided and searched.
