Bomb attack against Kurdish newspaper Özgür Ülke to be protested 2022-12-02 12:37:35   ISTANBUL - The bomb attack on the Özgür Ülke Newspaper building 28 years ago will be protested in Istanbul Kadırga tomorrow.   It has been 28 years since Özgür Ülke Newspaper was bombed at night on December 3, 1994. The newspaper's head office in Istanbul Cağaloğlu and offices in Kadırga and Ankara were bombed simultaneously 28 years ago. As a result of the attack, newspaper employee Ersin Yıldız lost his life and 23 journalists and employees were injured.   Due to the anniversary of the bombing of the newspaper, Yeni Yaşam Newspaper will organize a commemoration tomorrow in front of the old building of the newspaper in Kadırga. Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) deputies, representatives of non-governmental organizations and journalists will participate in the commemoration, which will be held at 11:00.   After the statement to be made in Kadırga, the grave of Ersin Yıldız, who lost his life in the attack, in Yeşilpınar Cemetery will be visited.
