Şahin: Turkey is avanging the defeat of ISIS 2021-10-22 09:19:00   NEWS CENTER - Euphrates Region Executive Council Co-Chair Mihemed Şahin said that Turkey's attacks on Kobanê are "to avenge the defeat of ISIS".   Continuing its threats of operations against Northern and Eastern Syria, Turkey killed 2 young people and injured 3 people in an attack on a civilian vehicle with an Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SİHA) in Kobanê on October 20. Speaking to Hawar News Agency (ANHA) about Turkey's attacks on the region, Euphrates Region Executive Council Co-chair Mihemed Şahin said that Turkey is trying to avenge the defeat of ISIS in Kobanê.   Stating that the attacks were not the first, Şahin noted that Turkey never complied with the ceasefire agreement announced through Russia and the USA. Stating that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has acted in accordance with the ceasefire since the first day, Şahin said, "Russia, which claims to be the guarantor of the ceasefire, ignores all the violations of the ceasefire by the Turkish state."    INVASION OF THE MIDDLE EAST   Şahin said: “The aim of the Turkish state is to invade the whole Middle East,” Şahin continued as follows: “Another aim is to destroy the Autonomous Administration project. The Turkish state, which could not get the approval it wanted from the world states for attacking the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, is trying to achieve this goal with the help of terrorist groups."   SECURITY OF THE REGION   Stating that Russia did not fulfill its responsibility in the face of the attacks, Şahin said, “The forces of the International Coalition are also responsible for these attacks. Making threats against the SDF, which is an important ally in the fight against ISIS, puts the security of the region at risk.”   TIMING OF THE ATTACK   Noting that the attack on Kobanê was carried out on the anniversary of the liberation of Raqqa, Şahin said: “The message of these attacks, which was carried out on the anniversary of the SDF liberating Raqqa from ISIS gangs, is clear. The Turkish state is trying to avenge the defeat of ISIS in Kobanê.”
