10 detained following racist attack

	KONYA - 10 people were detained in connection with the murder of 7 members of the Dedeoğulları family.

	10 people were detained as part of the investigation into the murder of 7 members of the Dedeoğulları family as a result of a racist attack in Konya. In the statement made by the Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that 10 people were detained in connection with the racist attack that took place yesterday, and that the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor and 3 Public Prosecutors were assigned under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

	 

	Using the same statements as the government officials regarding the attack, the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor said, "It has been determined that the incident resulted from the conflict and hostility that has been going on for 11 years between the two neighboring families. The allegations that the action was committed with the motive of racial hatred do not reflect the truth."

	 

	The Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor also stated that the search for the perpetrator continues.
